Wires and cables are made up of four parts: conductor, insulating layer, shielding layer and protective layer.
(1) conductor
Conductor is the conductive part of wire and cable, which is used to transmit electric energy.
(2) insulating layer
The insulating layer is isolated from each other between the conductor and the earth and the different phases of the conductor, so as to ensure the transmission of electric energy.
(3) shielding layer
15KV and above the wire and cable generally have a conductor shielding layer and insulation layer.
(4) protective layer
The function of the protective layer is to protect the wire and cable from the invasion of the external impurities and moisture, and to prevent the external force from damaging the power cable directly.
